5TH & 6TH PLACE - México vs. Uruguay (0-1)

Agustina Nieto in the 46 'to took a rebound and gave Uruguay their only goal to beat Mexico and stay with the fifth place of the Pan American Cup that ends today. The result could be different, but Jesus Castillo, Mexican Goalkeeper did a great work.

From the beginning of the match, Uruguay had the ball possession and proposed a series of attacks that generated five penalty corners through the first quarter. 8 ' Castillo did a great save to keep the match with no goals. Agustina Nieto, Encouraged her team the "Cimarronas" throughout that period and to connect with their forehand with precise passes, but failed to find the effectiveness in the definition.

Mexico, with a new team, did a good job defending Uruguay’s attack. In the third period, Jesús Castillo appeared again, at 35 ', she saved a great ball with her right glove. Uruguay finished in fifth place in the Pan American Cup, while Mexico ranked sixth. Brazil finished seventh. The United States will face Canada for the bronze medal and Argentina will play against Chile for the gold medal.
