Official Statement: Withdrawal of TTO from the Pan American Cups 2025

The Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) announces that the national team of Trinidad and Tobago has officially informed that, due to logistical reasons, it will not be participating in the Pan American Cups 2025, to be held in Montevideo, Uruguay.

PAHF regrets this situation, understanding that it stems from circumstances beyond the organization’s control. Undoubtedly, it represents a loss for the tournament and for the sporting spirit that defines this continental competition.

Considering the teams' preparation timelines and compliance with existing regulations, the match schedule will remain unchanged, and the tournament will proceed as originally planned.

In accordance with the FIH Outdoor Top-Level Competition Tournament Regulations (version May 26, 2025), the following provision will apply:

Article 13.1 – During pool matches:
a. A team that is disqualified, refuses to play, or fails to complete a match shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the competition.

b. If a team withdraws:
i. All matches it has played and is scheduled to play shall be recorded as 5-0 losses.

We appreciate the understanding of all federations, teams, and fans, and we remain committed to delivering a successful edition of the Pan American Cups 2025.
