The day opened with a dominant performance from USA against Mexico. From the very first whistle, the Americans imposed their pace, pressing high and finding gaps with quick passing combinations. Mexico held firm in the opening minutes, but USA’s speed and precision soon broke the deadlock, unleashing a flurry of goals. With this result, the Americans send a clear message: they have come to Asunción to be contenders.
Chile 12–1 Guyana
In the second match, Chile delivered the biggest win of the day with a commanding 12–1 victory over Guyana. The Chileans made full use of their physical and technical advantage to control the game from start to finish. Guyana, who celebrated a goal of their own, never stopped pushing forward, but Chile’s efficiency in the circle was unstoppable. This result puts Chile at the top of their group with a goal difference that could prove decisive for qualification.
Argentina 3–0 Uruguay
The third game of the day brought the classic Argentina–Uruguay rivalry, always intense and closely fought.
